In Memoriam: Carmen Slater
My Aunt Carmen passed away on January 16. She was an outstanding woman and I have many many fond memories of her. I remember:
being scared out of my wits by her mansion in Marinette. It was built by a logger baron and my cousins told me there were gargoyles in the attic.

A first: a library in Rwanda!
Look at this - the Kigali Public Library is the first library in ALL of Rwanda. Pretty terrific considering the horrible genocide of 1994.

Full Moon Names
Andrew, my loving bf, didn’t believe me that the full moon each month has a unique name. He kept on calling each moon the “Harvest Moon,” which I scoffed at. I said, “HA! No sir!” So here is the official list of full moon names from Farmer’s Almanac:
