Eastern Shore - Future of Small and Rural Libraries
I am heading up to Baltimore today to speak for a group of library directors in the Eastern Shore area of Maryland. The topic is: “What will your library look like in 2020: The Future of Small and Rural Libraries.” I have pulled out census data, socio-economic and cultural/immigration data for each of the 8 counties. We will be discussing parts of the “Perceptions of Libraries Report” by OCLC - so it should be a good time! Plus I get to see my good friend Dale. While I was doing some work on this this morning, I found this interesting blog: Mid-Atlantic Futures Conference.

Ooh! Ooh! While you’re there, get me one of those “I Went to Maryland and All I Got was the Crabs” t-shirts. You can consider it my wedding present.
Better get one for Marion too. She’ll just end up stealing mine otherwise.
