Raintree County
Last week I taught a Web 2.0 class in Frankfort, KY. I love that part of the state, it’s so beautiful. This time instead of teaching at KDLA, I taught at the Paul Sawyier Public Library. This library is right downtown, sort of near the Capitol on a meandering river. The class was fun but I think I enjoyed driving through Raintree County on the way back home. For anyone who is a movie buff, you might be familiar with the 1957 Elizabeth Taylor movie: Raintree County. I could live there! It looked so peaceful and hidden away.
Next week I teach at McCracken County Public Library in Paducah and then the next week a class called “What’s Next” at:
- Marshall County Public Library in Benton, KY
- George Coon Public Library in Princeton, KY
- Western KY University in Bowling Green, KY

I did the BMGF install/training at Paul Sawyier Public Library. I doubt they would remember me fondly, however, as I was on my first solo trip and, quite frankly, sucked. Also, one of our trio of supervisors just “happened” to show up, with absolutely no warning, and observe my training. This made me super nervous, causing me to screw up even more. Good times.
Of course, that triumvirate of supervisors were very shortly thereafter put out to pasture, relieved of their duties and given other jobs in the organization. So I win!
