Madisonville
As the title shows, I’m in Madisonville, KY at the moment. I was thinking on the drive over here from Benton this afternoon after class, that I used to be more open to taking side trips on the way somewhere. I remember being in Wyoming and going “off road” to see the sights in the desert. Then I remember stopping off at Shoshone Ice Caves while traveling from Sun Valley back to Pocatello. Why do I not do that anymore? I’m not sure. After about 8 years on the road, I am more interested in getting from point A to point B these days I think. Plus it’s awfully hot out. On the way up here, my car temperature guage registered 105 degrees. Perhaps when it gets a little cooler out I will make more attempts at taking in the local scenery. I will say that it is quite beautiful here - nothing new there. Kentucky is one of my favorite states to visit - it is really stunning.
