Meebo Adds File Sharing, Bloglines Beta
I have been using Meebo a lot as of late - especially at work. Since I teach classes on Instant Messaging for MPOW, I thought it would be um, a good idea, to try out the various tools out there. The one thing I have lamented as of late though is the absence of file sharing from the browser-based applications out there. So I was very glad to see that Meebo has added file sharing! I tried it this morning and it works just fine. Currently you have to have a Meebo ID to send a file (but it’s free, so why not do it, I say!) - give it a try. I’m curious if anyone has experienced any viruses or trojans, etc from any file sharing via IM.
I have also been playing around a bit with the Bloglines Beta - I like the ajaxy-goodness but I am still waiting for the clipping feature which I only started using recently. I have been describing the “lip this” feature as like the vertical file - only digital. However they keep on adding new features - after all it is in Beta! So I’ll wait patiently. *Tapping foot*
